Shinjuku

Our one regret is that we did not visit Shinjuku. We were told that this area was not safe for tourists. After more investigation and talking with other visitors, we now believe this advice was a bit extreme. However, certain parts of Shinjuku may not be suitable for children.

These photographs were a gift from our friend Tari Martosudirjo. Tari started corresponding with us after visiting our site. She is a talented writer and has created an online guide for people temporarily living in Japan. We also invite you to visit her web site. Thanks Tari!!
